Aki Amai

Organist/Pianist

I grew up in Tokyo and began studying music at the age of three. I have an A.A. music degree from Santa Barbara City College where I studied under Josephine Brummel, as well as a B.M degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where I studied under Betty Woo. Since graduating, I have rooted myself within the music community as a professional teacher, accompanist, and organist. Aside from working for local schools & churches, I also perform as an accordionist in a traditional swing jazz band.  When not playing music, I like to practice Iyengar yoga, go hiking, and travel.
