Youth Leader

I grew up in San Francisco and have been a member of St. James for 23 years since attending St. James Preschool. Ever since then, the community at St. James has been a second family and a home away from home.

Since attending George Washington High School and graduating in 2004, I began working at St. James as assistant youth leader in 2005 and remained in that position for three and a half years. I returned in summer of 2010 to take over the youth program and have loved every minute since then. I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with such a great staff and amazing youth!

In between my years at St. James, I served as Ambassador to Youth for a nonprofit company called WebWise Kids for about six years. In that time I traveled the country speaking at conferences, community events, press conferences and schools about educating and empowering youth to make wise choices online. In that time I had the privilege to work with law enforcement, politicians, parents, teachers, youth and the wonderful staff at WWK to make the Internet and digital media a safer place for teens.

I am currently a student at San Francisco State University earning a degree in Hospitality Management with an emphasis in restaurant and catering management.

What I love most about St. James is the welcoming, inclusive and loving community. Children, youth and adults all care for one another with such generosity and embrace new members with the same openness and love.
