St. James has a strong commitment to reach out to others in our communities through a variety of programs that serve a wide range of people. Our Community Learning Center (CLC) is the organizational structure that develops and manages these programs and services. Tightly integrated with St. James, the CLC has its own governing board to ensure that we are meeting the needs of those closest to our parish community.
For more information about any of these programs or services, please contact the Parish Office at 415-751-1198 x2 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
St. James outreach efforts go beyond San Francisco, to people and events outside our borders.
This organization focuses on Millennium Development goal number five to “improve maternal health” by providing micro-loans to women entrepreneurs in third world countries. The St. James community supports Mothers Helping Mothers with periodic fundraising. Micro-lending and continued fundraising has allowed growth of the fund and expanded the number of families that can be supported.
After each 10:00 a.m. service on Sunday, people gather to share few more moments with each other, focusing on prayers for peace and justice around the world.
