Serve Others Locally

St. James has a strong commitment to reach out to others in our communities through a variety of programs that serve a wide range of people. Our Community Learning Center (CLC) is the organizational structure that develops and manages these programs and services. Tightly integrated with St. James, the CLC has its own governing board to ensure that we are meeting the needs of those closest to our parish community.

St. Martin de Porres House of Hospitality

St. James members have a dedicated presence at St. Martin’s, preparing and serving meals to the needy in the Mission District on the second Sunday of every month.

Rebuilding Together

Parishioners volunteer in the annual efforts of the Rebuilding Together program, which focuses on renovating and improving homes for low-income and elderly San Franciscans.
