Faith in Action Bay Area is pioneering immigrant protection and accompaniment ministry, and the Diocese of California voted to become a "Sanctuary Diocese" at its October Convention. Sunday, December 3, 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The Vestry of St. James is convening a special congregational meeting for a conversation about our common prayer. Specifically, we will explore together how we pray for our President, Donald Trump, our nation, and the world in a time of great anxiety, fear, and division in our country. How do we pray together when we are not of one mind about important moral and political issues? What principles guide our decisions about how we pray? What is the relationship between public prayer and private prayer? These are just some of the questions shaping a conversation begun by the Vestry that we would like to extend to the entire congregation. A pastoral letter from the Vestry with background for the conversation is available here.
