Part memoir, part journalistic essay, Dr. Jessica Nutik Zitter draws on her medical experience in intensive care and palliative care to explore how we die - the ways in which the health care system intersects with the end of life, for better and for worse. We will read and discuss Nutik Zitter's book as a starting point for our own reflection on death and dying, and planning for end of life care.

Sundays, 5:30 p.m. Please join us as we sit for 20 minutes of silent meditation. Find a quiet space to end your weekend. Take a break from the busyness of your life. Feel the power of meditating with a group. All are welcome. We gather quietly in the sanctuary at 5:30 p.m. and prepare for our meditation together. One-on-one instruction for beginning meditators is available. At 5:45 p.m. we commence 20 minutes of silence. Our intent is that the silence will serve to open our hearts to the Divine and each other, in love and peace, justice and human dignity. Please join us.
